“Everything Is Beautiful”

“Everything Is Beautiful” by Tracker

This is the last track on the soundtrack for the graphic novel, Blankets by Craig Thompson. It’s looking back on everything that happened, how bad things got, but overall, life can be great.

“Aruarian Dance” by Nujabes

In the bliss of a drunken haze…

“Everything’s In It’s Right Place” by Radiohead

I’ve been in a Radiohead mood lately. It’s been making me feel different. Not sure if it’s good or bad different but it makes me feel how I felt about music when I was 16.

“Jane Says” by Jane’s Addiction

“True Love Waits (full band)” by Radiohead

An edited live performance of ‘True Love Waits’ produced by Dan Mulcahy with added instruments to create a full band version and to imagine a 90’s era studio recording.

The lyrics in the video are correct. Many sites on the internet list the wrong lyrics for this song.

“True Love Waits” by Radiohead

I’d never heard this song until last night. Holy shit.

“Break My Body”

“Break My Body” by Pixies

I’m the party looser
You’ll find me crashing through my mother’s door
I am the ugly lover
You’ll find us rolling on the dirty floor

Break my body, hold my bones, hold my bones (3x)

I’m a belly dancer
I’ll shake forever and I’ll never care
I’m a building jumper
Roof to roof you see me flying in the air

Break my body, hold my bones, hold my bones

Somebody got hurt
Somebody get hurt
Somebody got her

“I Am Always The One Who Calls”

“I Am Always the One Who Calls” by Pedro the Lion

I have been listening to this song over and over again over the past couple of days. Some girls are interested, others pretend to not be interested but they really are, others just aren’t. Thing is, how do I know? If I’m interested, I’m going to make an effort to talk to you. I expect some interest back and for you to meet me halfway or else I’m going to think you’re not interested and look elsewhere. After it’s all said and done, I am always the one who calls. That’s why I chose to upload this song.

“Stand” by Good Riddance

I fist heard this song when I was in high school and fell in love with it right away. I was very into punk music and a lot of it was just angry yelling at the government or just angry yelling. Which was fine because I was angry myself because that’s normally how your early teens go. Still, I wanted music with that raw power of punk rock but I wanted to listen to something a little more close to home. That’s when my friend at the time, Lisa, let me borrow this album. It was a compilation of different punk bands and it was just what I needed. Aside from going through normal teen problems, I was also dealing with my parents’ divorce, my father kicking us out of our house, going through medical problems, starting to work at the age of 13, and starting to lose faith in my religion. I eventually left the church though I still believe in God. Still, this song really hit the spot with all of that and helped me pull through.
